Job Title: Temporary Accounting Specialist

Job Type: Contract with opportunity for Temp-to-Hire

Location: Onsite, Nonprofit, 80 personnel company

Hours: 32 hours per week, with potential for full-time (40 hours)

The Organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join the 2-person accounting department, on a temporary basis, with potential to go temp to hire.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all invoicing and billing operations for the company

  • Handle accounts payable and receivable

  • Coordinate with the Ops Manager in all financial operations

  • Maintain precise and up-to-date financial records

  • Confirm, pay, and reconcile all vendor invoices

  • Ensure vendor payments are made on time and according to accounts payable procedure

  • Help in financial audits, when required

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Experience working with NetSuite

  • Previous experience in a Nonprofit Accounts Payable/Receivable role.

  • Knowledge of various billing and accounting protocols used in Nonprofit organizations

  • Proactive problem-solving capabilities and exceptional attention to detail

  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and to make informed decisions autonomously

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders
