Crane Company has a unique and exciting career opportunity for an IT Network Engineer IV at our Lynnwood, WA site.
Job Summary:
Responsible for architecture and maintenance of all local and wide area network infrastructure technologies for Crane worldwide locations. Responsible for maintaining network administration tools with a particular focus on network access control systems. Responsible for maintaining relationships with third party vendors as well as the Crane Company Global GIS team. This role will require travel as needed to branch locations to perform maintenance and rollout activities.
This position is eligible for our Crane Flex Remote schedule which allows for the option of full-time work-from-home. Some conditions apply which will be discussed during the interview process. Full policy to be provided after hire.
Essential Functions:
Architecture and administration of networking hardware such as switches, routers, wireless access points, and security appliances.
Architecture and administration of network access control systems.
Maintenance of all network management platforms such as firewall management systems, network configuration management tools, and vulnerability management systems.
Act as an escalation point for LAN, WAN and NAC issues as needed from the CraneAE Service Desk team.
Provide data and reporting of KPI’s to IT management for monthly reporting.
Maintain a relationship with key third-party vendors such as hardware/software vendors, and VARs to provide support to the infrastructure as needed.
Provide subject matter expertise for all networking technologies with heavy participation in key decision-making processes for the acquisition of new technologies into the environment.
Provide project leadership skills for team members working on technologies overseen by this role.
Work closely with other IT functional groups to ensure cohesive support and strategies across the IT organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience : Minimum 10 years in an IT role & minimum 7 years in a Network Engineering role. Demonstrated ability to run mid to large scale network implementations. Demonstrated ability to implement network access control technologies both on the edge and internally.
Knowledge: Juniper OS; Cisco IOS; Aruba IAP; MIST AI; FortiOS; Citrix NS; Microsoft Windows Server 2008R2 and later; FortiNAC; Palo Alto
Skills : Strong communication and interpersonal skills both oral and written; Leadership; Supervision; Organization and prioritization;
Ability : Technical administration of complex solutions; Travel as needed;
Education/Certification : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Working Conditions:
- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, heal straps, and shop coats.

Salary range: $134,992 to $157,206. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
