GE Aerospace Senior Principal - Program Management, Defense Delivery DT Leader in Lynn, Massachusetts

Job Description Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for DT support of the cross-functional, enterprise-wide effort to drive improved supply chain delivery for the Defense Engines P&L. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the business's number one priority: to reduce delinquency, improve supply chain output, and develop a healthy flow of products to support today's demand and that of the future.

You will report directly to the Defense & Systems CIO, and indirectly to Kristie West, C&SC and GM&F Part Family Leader and Defense Supply Chain Leader. Your success is that of the division's where creativity and proactivity in solutioning are encouraged.

Job Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the accountable D&S DT leader of for any and all Engines and Spares Supply Chain delivery efforts. These include specific initiatives (such as the Palantir material availability program, defense QEM investigations, supply chain data science initiatives, delivery HK trystorms) as well as regular, one-off support needs (such as ad hoc data pulls/data manipulation, providing IT system subject matter expertise and consulting, coordinating connection and communication between delivery leaders and the right DT resources).

  • Serve as the focal point for efforts run in partnership with shared service teams, primarily with the Digital Supply Chain organization. Program manage initiatives such as the Delinquency Data Science Project and the Palantir Material Availability Program across DT and business teams.

  • Ensure all Defense delivery-focused DT efforts are on track and work with urgency to remove roadblocks when they arise.

  • Serve as a member of the Defense Delivery Hoshin Kanri team, working to identify breakthrough digital and data-driven solutions to improve delivery and reduce delinquency.

  • Identify new, creative trystorms that could reduce defects and improve supply chain output.

  • Support a team of senior leaders in the D&S business and supply chain, influencing decision making in support of delivery objectives.

  • Serve as an active participant in the Defense Engines Weekly Operating Review, Defense Supply Chain Daily Management meetings, Defense Quality Monthly Operating Reviews, Delivery Hoshin Kanri Weekly Operating Reviews, and others.

  • Consulting - Leads partnership with clients to define/determine the scope of engagement. Identifies business and technology trends. Advises senior leaders on planning opportunities and implementation considerations for strategic investments. Uses formal techniques of facilitation and analysis to assist leadership in criterion based decision-making and strategic planning.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 10 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 13 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 15 years of professional experience

  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in lean program management.

  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
