Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic Lead

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fixing and maintaining heavy equipment, particularly CAT and Komatsu brands. This role involves leading a team of 2 to 3 other mechanics both in the shop and on the road between job sites.

Responsibilities

• Fix and maintain heavy equipment, including CAT and Komatsu brands.

• Lead a team of 2 to 3 mechanics in the shop and on the road.

• Conduct diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on loaders, excavators, screeners, conveyors, crushers, and wheel washers.

• Perform hydraulic, diagnostic, and electrical work on heavy machinery.

• Carry out preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment longevity.

• Repair diesel engines and dozers.

• Utilize welding skills where necessary.

Essential Skills

• Extensive experience in fixing and maintaining heavy equipment.

• Proficiency with CAT and Komatsu brands.

• Strong leadership abilities.

• Expertise in hydraulics, diagnostics, and electrical systems.

• Experience with loaders, excavators, screeners, conveyors, crushers, and wheel washers (Required)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Welding skills are a plus.

• Experience with wheel washers is advantageous but not mandatory.

Work Environment

The work environment includes both shop and field settings, involving travel between job sites. Work will be conducted on various heavy equipment, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Appropriate attire and safety gear will be required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Lyndhurst, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
