We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Mold Technician – Level 1. This role is based in our facility in Lynchburg, Virginia and reports to the Mold Group Supervisor.
Job Summary
We are seeking an upbeat individual who will be responsible to to set-up, maintain and install Harco injection molds in the safest and most cost-effective manner! This includes preparing injection molds for production, assisting with installing and removing molds in machines, cleaning and reconditioning mold components, and properly caring for molds in storage.
Requirements
Maintain a safe and clean work environment while adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
Must be eager to learn, excited to work on a team, and have good written and verbal communication skills
Must complete Harco Lock Out /Tag Out training and On-the-job training on safe crane and lifting operations.
Understands and applies all Mold Prep and Storage procedures.
Maintains all tools and equipment associated with the maintaining of molds.
Collaborate with team members, supervisors and other departments on machinery repairs.
Other duties as the need arises and/or assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
Must be 18 years of age or older.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Be able to work at heights of up to 16 feet on ladders or machine platforms.
Must provide own basic hand tools.
Tools & Equipment
- Must provide own basic hand tools required to perform work duties.
Work Environment
Must be able to perform job responsibilities safely in a manufacturing environment.
Requires good mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, bending, stooping, and lifting (to a maximum of 80 lbs).
Working on raised surfaces (ladders, machines, work platforms).
Regular work in a fluctuating temperature environment (indoor & outdoor).
