Heavy Commercial HVAC Technician

Job Summary:

The Heavy Commercial HVAC Technician provides customer service in the field to maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair commercial and industrial HVAC systems. These systems include, but are not limited to: chillers, cooling towers, boilers, RTU's and split systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, and repair issues with commercial and industrial chillers and boilers, including but not limited to compressors, pumps, motors, valves, and electrical systems.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on chillers and boilers.

  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair chiller and boiler systems.

  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure effective and efficient operation of chiller and boiler systems.

  • Keep accurate records of all work performed and provide detailed service reports.

  • Respond to emergency repair calls as needed.

  • Participates in an on-call rotation.

    Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with chiller and/or boiler repair and maintenance.

  • Strong knowledge of chiller systems, including electrical and refrigeration components.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.

  • Must pass a drug screen and complete a satisfactory background check.
