Amazon Sr. Manager, De-risking Programs, EU Compliance in Luxembourg, Luxembourg

In EU, we continue to observe an unprecedented wave of legislations that impacts Selling Partner (SP) experience (SX), constrains selection and jeopardizes GMS. This increases the complexity and cost of selling in EU and makes compliance the primary barrier to SP launches in the region.

As a Senior Manager, Tax de-risking programs - you will be the Single Threaded Leader to operationalize Tax legislations that come in EU and UK. This means, you will be owning building the strategy (across product, program, operations), setting the right goals, and implementing execution plans to programmatically ensure that Amazon and Sellers are compliant with existing and upcoming Tax regulations.

As the single threader leader in EU3P, you will lead an organization of 40+ people spread across 3 countries, to (1) define the seller experience and engagement programs, (2) Influence technology roadmap and trade offs, (3) shape the risk appetite for executive leadership (VP+), and (4) design and implement the enforcement and regain strategy for EU and UK marketplaces.

The role will require you to drive clear communication and fast and frequent decision making with executive leadership (Directors and VPs) and at the same time motivate and deliver through a team spread ranging from associates to senior program leaders.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Hire and deliver through a team - Manage a team of individual contributors and managers to identify and implement end to end programs, features, processes, and systems that improve accuracy and speed of compliance - with the right Seller experience.

  2. Owning key VP/SVP level cross organization goals - Drive team to manage large programs, dependencies and bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, balance the business needs, compliance risks and technical constraints.

  3. OPEX management - Drive the plan for hiring and growing de-risking teams globally that is in inline with our business growth ambitions and costs.

  4. Share best practices: Engage other Amazon business units globally and within different compliance areas such as product compliance or environmental compliance to share best practices and improve end to end outcomes for Amazon sellers.

  5. Get hands on as needed: Comfortable in different roles, sometimes supporting, sometimes leading and has the ability to “roll up their sleeves” to drive initiatives to completion.
