We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager Tech to manage the lifecycle of key technology products for the Amazon Transportation Network. You will be a key team contributor, driving product discussions and roadmap for multiple geographies. You will make sure that technology and business teams are aligned to customer needs, supporting senior management/directors to define the 3-5 years strategic vision.

The growth of the business and the complexity of the Amazon transportation network makes this role an exciting, interesting, and very challenging proposition. Expect to get involved in supporting new projects and initiatives in multiple regions, drive strategies, and help building department-level plans for the future.

In your job, you will work with executives (tech/non-tech) and influence technology and business strategy. You will impact product brand, CX/usability, technical and feature design trade-offs, team engineering roadmaps (internal/external), segment adoption, and org business goals.

You will have an eye for detail, experience in delivering end to end products that have clear, measurable success criteria. The role requires you to feel comfortable working with and clearly communicating with other functional teams globally.

You will be reporting to a Senior Manager, working intensely with their (larger) project team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; will be a creative and an analytical problem solver with the opportunity to fulfill the Amazon motto to “Work Hard. Key job responsibilities

In this job you will:

  • Follow product introduction best practices and work backwards;

  • Change, add, remove products from the portfolio;

  • Ensure products are working in all the aspects (data accuracy, automation, features);

  • Be the voice of the customer and articulate their needs;

  • Identify new ideas proactively;

  • Evaluate new features from the technical point of view to understand the impact in development required;

  • Balance business expertise, product management and technical understanding. Deep understanding of our internal products, reasons for the product, which was the problem statement, how the solution is supporting the customer, what is the technical approach;

  • Work with project managers on development, launch process, beta product, acceptance criteria.

  • Influences the strategic direction (business and technology) and engineering org priorities;

  • Establishes/simplifies processes to ensure product meets customer needs. (e.g., roadmap prioritization, product lifecycle) and audit mechanisms (e.g., metrics, reporting, evaluation standards). Mitigates risks to segment adoption.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, operations research, business analytics, information systems or equivalent

  • Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools
