Amazon Senior Product Manager , Cross Border Shipment Services in Luxembourg, Luxembourg

Sellers are a critical part of Amazon’s ecosystem to deliver on our vision of offering the Earth’s largest selection and lowest prices. In our vision to build a global marketplace, we will enable Sellers to list, make their selection available to customers globally while optimizing their inventory placement across multiple countries.

As the Senior Product Manager in the compliance team - you will join a dynamic team which is at the forefront of this vision to build a global marketplace. Our products, supported by a dedicated engineering team of 50+, are across different stages of product life cycle, from ideation to maturity. You will be responsible for the charter that helps sellers expand their business across international borders, supported through a system of carriers (freight forwarders), customs brokers, and other compliance service providers. The product is in high growth stage, with global arcs and use-case expansion on the roadmap.

Key job responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities, create business cases, and champion your vision to build organizational alignment around priorities, features, and capabilities required

  • Write requirements and specifications to meet business requirements and drive the product development schedule from design to release

  • Perform supporting research and analysis for your products by gathering data, understanding dependent systems, and leveraging knowledge of legal and compliance experts in our team

  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and other product managers both in our organization and across Amazon to find the best solutions

  • Define, prioritize, and plan the resources needed for programs and projects to be delivered on time

  • Manage communication of product feature/release timelines to key stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with product delivery

  • Experience managing roadmap, strategy, and product definition

  • BA or BS degree

  • Basic SQL knowledge or data self-sufficiency for carrying out day to day jobs.

  • Team orientation and willingness to roll up sleeves to solve complex, dynamic challenges

  • Strong relationships building skills; experience managing stakeholders and partners to drive cross functional programs

  • Ability to provide architectural guidance and direction, strong judgment especially relevant in balancing long term strategic investments with near term business goals

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with different functional groups, developers, business owners, and senior business leaders

  • Ability to collaborate with and effectively influence remote teams in multiple time zones

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working cross-functionally with business stakeholders and software development teams, managing the roadmap in an agile development environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully influence stakeholders without formal authority, leading cross functional teams across business units.

  • Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems, showing a track record of making business decisions using relevant data and insights.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and competing priorities.

  • Demonstrated track record of strong written and verbal communication to gain buy-in for product direction and crisply communicate product status updates.

  • Organizational and presentation skills with the ability to successfully interact and influence across functions at all levels of an organization and with customers.
