Amazon Program Manager, AMXL Xtra Mile - 3P Heavy Bulky Carriers in Luxembourg, Luxembourg

Description

At Amazon, we are always exploring new opportunities to shape our global business. Our Programe Managers help us move forward with our best ideas and get everything in place to drive success. As you take on different projects, you’ll become an expert in our processes and see your experience evolve. Along the way, you’ll work closely with different functions across Amazon and see how working together makes us a leader in what we do.

Key job responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for managing 3P heavy bulky carriers in the AMXL business

  • Launch programmes, monitor performance metrics, and report on the status of key objectives that affect deliverables

  • You will lead weekly and monthly business reviews with carrier(s)

  • Use data to understand operational challenges and create continuous improvement initiatives

  • Work with a variety of other Amazon departments to identify and leverage best practices

  • Manage stakeholders and internal processes, and define standards

A day in the life

Every day is different as a Programme Manager. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively on projects, which may be at different stages of the project lifecycle, from development to delivery. You might spend your morning gathering data and feedback to assess a programme pilot, then spend your afternoon discussing a resourcing plan for another project. You will collaborate with other teams, track project progress, and share updates with key stakeholders.

Amazon is a data-driven business, so no matter which project you are implementing, part of your role will involve gathering insights to make decisions. You’ll trial different ideas, analyse data to identify potential challenges, and present your findings to senior teams

About the team

Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) looks after heavy items like furniture and large home appliances. Our team manages the entire service, from supply chain fulfilment to delivery and returns. What sets this service apart from others is the extra level of customer care. Not only do we deliver large items, but we unpack, assemble and install them, and take away old items where needed. With a focus on safety, productivity and innovation, we’re changing the way customers buy and receive large goods for the better.

We have ambitious plans to expand our specialist fulfilment centres and delivery stations across the UK and Europe. While those of us who work in delivery stations will do some night shifts, most of us work during the day. Our team is made up of people across operations, supply chain, business intelligence and programe management, and everyone plays a crucial role in growing this part of the business.

In the 3P heavy bulky carrier team, we own the operations relationship with our external carriers acting as the main interface on a day to day basis. We are responsible for building strong partnerships that support the growth of the wider AMXL business.
