A day in the life

As Program Manager, you’ll drive and manage the implementation of creative, data-driven change in Amazon, leading improvement projects and programs. You’ll use strategic thinking to define and implement an efficient and effective project plan.

Program Managers have significant responsibilities, and you’ll deal with complex challenges with creativity, innovation, and leadership. With a responsibility extending beyond process improvements, you could also contribute to improving other areas of the business, such diversity, equity, and inclusion.

About the team

PMO and BI Team's mission is to unlock value for 3P Procurement and Commercial development for the benefit of Amazon as a whole through activity organized under three pillars: (1) Analytics & Insights providing actionable insights to buyers/business partners through analytics, models, tools, and market intelligence; (2) Process & Control, managing the cross-functional processes, requests and inputs for defect reduction, planning and control of procurement activities; (3) Continuous Improvement & Innovation, driving continuous improvement and innovative solutions to automate the Procurement space and keep our 3P carriers engaged.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Basic Qualifications

  • A degree obtained less than 2 years ago

  • Relevant experience leading cross-functional programmes or projects using project-management methodologies

  • Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions

  • Relevant experience leading complex projects with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership

  • Experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or SQL in a professional environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced or master’s degree

  • Project-management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM, PMI, or similar

  • Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean Experience
