Health Advocates Network Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Lufkin, Texas

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to work at a facility in Lufkin , TX. These are registry positions with our company.

Duties:

  1. Assist the Speech Language Pathologist in conducting assessments, screenings, and evaluations to identify communication disorders in clients.

  2. Implement therapeutic interventions and treatment plans under the supervision and guidance of the SLP.

  3. Provide one-on-one or group therapy sessions to clients, incorporating various techniques and exercises to improve speech, language, and swallowing abilities.

  4. Document and maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress, goals, and treatment sessions.

  5. Collaborate with the SLP to develop and modify individualized treatment plans based on client needs and progress.

  6. Monitor and track client progress through objective measures such as standardized testing, observations, and data collection.

  7. Support clients in the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and technologies, as needed.

  8. Assist in the preparation and implementation of therapy materials, equipment, and resources.

  9. Provide guidance and instruction to family members, caregivers, and teachers on strategies to support clients' communication goals and objectives.

  10. Stay up-to-date with current research, advancements, and best practices in speech and language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

  • Ability to build rapport with clients

  • Strong leadership qualities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)

  • Must have up to date credentials in the state of TX
