Provides the highest level of safety and security by patrolling assigned areas to deter, detect and investigate crime and/or any suspicious activity which could cause harm to individuals or property; effective monitoring of electronic surveillance equipment; effective monitoring of hospital emergency systems and ability to dispatch appropriate personnel via radio. Responsible for organizing work load as assigned. Displays professional, safe conduct in all interactions. Maintains positive working relationships with staff, other departments, physicians and peers. Displays conduct in support of CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial Mission & Vision.
- High School Diploma/GED
Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License
Level III Commissioned Security Officer (CSO) Registration with State of Texas (TOPS) - must be attained within 60 days from date of hire/transfer into position
BLS through American Heart Association - must be attained within 60 days from date of hire/transfer into position
- One (1) to three (3) years previous law enforcement or military experience
