Position Description:
Contributes to the University's and TTU K-12's mission through teaching and service. Provides instruction, appropriate assistance, information and tutoring. Performs instructional and educational work while serving as an online teacher. Provides feedback and grades for lessons, exams and final course grades. Organizes and develops course work, coordinates classes for students, observes and assesses the needs of the students. Maintains communication both formally and informally with students and other educators.

Major/Essential Functions:
At TTU K-12, all of our Teachers must be Texas Certified. THIS POSITION IS BASED ON THE CONTUUATION OF A GRANT.
Job requirements are:
Serve as the primary instructor for online the TTU K12 Adult Learning Program . This will include assessment of student learning, evaluating student homework assignments, providing regular feedback to students.
Communicate with students regularly including using online discussion boards, chat features, synchronous collaboration tools, email communications, and phone chat. Teachers will be required to respond to student questions within 48 hours.
Regular communication with full-time/lead teachers and/or principals regarding grade turnaround, student performance, curricular alignment, students of concern, and other instructional issues that need to be discussed.
Knowledge of Texas curricular requirements for K-12 education.
Texas Teacher Certification.
3 yrs classroom experience.
