Position Description:

Provides project management including adherence to budget, schedule and scope. Plans, schedules or coordinates projects activities to meet deadlines. Monitors project compliance. Coordinates the overall integration of the project. Supervises and directs project personnel; assigns duties and responsibilities.

Major/Essential Functions:

  • Manage a variety of work intake.

  • Lead project charter development and retrospectives with project teams.

  • Manage perception of projects with stakeholders.

  • Determine project scopes and project work plans with team members.

  • Establish and monitor project milestones and deadlines.

  • Utilize tools to track and communicate project status with team and leadership using status updates, Gantt charts, timelines, etc.

  • Interact with contractors on project scopes and contracts.

  • Support project teams with design, budget, and contractor coordination.

  • Negotiate page content with subject matter experts across campus.

  • Investigate and resolve project issues including scope and timeline revisions.

  • Investigate at-risk or off-track project situations for future improvements.

  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

  • Report on project progress and metrics using dashboards and project updates.

  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders on project progress and adjustments.

  • Work closely with project manager to coordinate all projects in Marketing & Communications.

Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00pm

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, computer science/engineering, information systems, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably within higher education or a related field.

  • Basic understanding of website design/development, digital communications, and social media processes.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality standards.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello, SharePoint, etc.).

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
