Position Description:

Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

  • Recruitment of participants, Consenting and assenting participating individuals and families, Conducting participant screening and assessments.

  • Managing data and data bases

  • Contact and approvals with the IRB and funding agency

  • Processing participant payments and other financial purchases and reconciliations

  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, neuroscience, special education, social work, or closely related field at time of hire; experience with research participant recruitment (or similar outreach activities); experience with data management and participant tracking programs such as Qualtrics and Redcap.; experience conducting human subjects or basic science research; lived personal or other experience with visual impairment or another disability; and familiarity with working with children with disabilities and their families. Relocation to the Lubbock campus of Texas Tech University is also preferred.

Required Qualifications:

High school graduation plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for the required experience on a year for year basis.
