The Law Library invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track, open rank Law Library Faculty member to begin July 1, 2025.

The School of Law has approximately 440 students and 38 full-time faculty members. The School of Law is an integral part of the university and offers 10 dual-degree programs with other Texas Tech schools and colleges. About the Department/School/Area

Texas Tech University Law Library is the largest legal information center in West Texas. It serves and supports the educational, instructional, and research needs of the School of Law, the University, and the public. It participates in the Federal Depository Library Program. Major/Essential Functions

In line with TTU's strategic priorities to engage and empower a diverse student body, enable innovative research and creative activities, and transform lives and communities through outreach and engaged scholarship, applicants should have experience working with diverse student populations at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels within individual or across the areas of teaching, research/creative activity, and service.

As a faculty member in the Texas Tech University School of Law Library, you will have administrative duties, along with instruction, research, and service.

A. ADMINISTRATIVE

Work with the Associate Dean/Law Library Director and Associate Director to provide vision, leadership, and planning for the Law Library's user services.

Coordinate all daily operations of user services, including design, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of services. Create and distribute annual faculty and student feedback surveys.

Organize and maintain a responsive faculty liaison program that anticipates the needs of the faculty. Work with liaisons to provide current awareness services.

Track faculty publications, update the faculty display, and maintain the faculty alerts blog post. Collaborate to publicize recent faculty works.

Coordinate ith vendors and instruct regular faculty training as part of a Faculty Research Series.

Coordinate and maintain a faculty archives print collection of works authored by faculty.

Provide scholarship and publication support by reviewing faculty profiles/citation metric accuracy. Update and distribute the annual law review rankings spreadsheet.

Research and develop the faculty professional development collection.

Plan and implement a responsive student services program. Work with the Office of Student Life and student groups on events.

Coordinate journal liaison instruction and services.

Aggregate faculty and student scholarship and work in collaboration with the Electronic and Digital Services Librarian to ensure comprehensive coverage via the Law Library's Scholarship Repository.

Update and maintain Faculty and Student information LibGuides.
