Position is Accountant for SAVOR’s food and beverage operations at Buddy Holly Hall. This position reports to the Director of F&B. Primary job responsibilities are to ensure all financial operational tasks are completed accurately, including daily and monthly reporting and reconciliations, journal entries, customer billings and receivables, and processing of accounts payable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Navigate and hold responsibility for the Sage/Dynamics 365 accounting software for this account.

  • Monitor and project daily cash flow.

  • Reconcile events and build event flash reports.

  • Manage accounts payable and vendor relations.

  • Prepare customer billings and post F&B sales.

  • Post journal entries as required and maintain clean supporting backup.

  • Ensure proper segregation of duties exist throughout the department.

  • Control inventory and FF&E valuation processes and uses inventory software to ensure proper controls and efficiencies are realized.

  • Prepare SAVOR’s monthly reporting package and corporate/client reporting requirements.

  • Assist the Director of F&B in other ad hoc analyses.

  • Maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

  • ADP/Workday human resources and payroll processing.

  • Develop a strong control environment and uphold the location’s financial policy and procedures.

  • Maintain sales tax filings and controls as well as annual liquor license renewals.

Education and/or Experience

  • B.S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university

  • Desired 2-years of experience in accounting or finance positions

  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Extensive knowledge of general and cost accounting practices

  • Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills.

  • Ability to convey detailed business drivers into big picture impact when communicating to executive leadership.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have extensive knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office products such as Excel, and Word. Experience with inventory software, Sage/Dynamics 365, and point of sale systems desirable.

Other Qualifications

  • This position will require the ability to interact with all levels of staff including executive management..

  • Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
