Robert Half Reconciliation Specialist in Lowell, Arkansas

Description

Robert Half is currently working with a client looking to hire a Reconciliations Specialist. The ideal candidate will have previous reconciliation experience and a general knowledge of banking or financial services. This Reconciliations position could be the one for you if you have previously worked as a bank teller and/or have experience in reconciliations. This is a contract position based in Lowell, AR.

Major responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Reconcile, analyze and review low to moderately difficult general ledger accounts to ensure that they are in balance. Determine the proper solution when errors or improper amounts are found and make necessary adjusting entries.

  2. Ensure that all offages are cleared in a timely manner that minimizes risk of loss to the bank and complies with audit and examiner standards.

  3. Complete thorough research and analysis to develop solutions to complex and non-routine reconciliation issues while taking into consideration potential impact tocustomers and to other departments.

  4. Download and compare transaction reports on a daily basis.

  5. Research and resolve customer or general ledger balancing outages of < /= $500. Create dispute cases for failed customer transactions. Monitor and track branch cash audits for timely and accurate completion.

  6. Maintain a working knowledge of all account reconciliations performed within the department and serve as a back-up when others are out.

  7. Provide branch associate support via telephone and email. Provide direction to these associates in solving non-routine reconciliation issues, perform research and evaluate problems to determine best course of resolution.

  8. Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity

  • Outstanding organizational skills

  • AA or BS/BA preferred

  • 1+ year providing exemplary customer service
