Job Summary:

Job Profile Summary Under general direction, this position directs the work of the Internal Audit Group. Responsibilities include developing the strategy behind audit projects, consultation on budget requirements, organizational level audit control assessments, and team management.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages the assessment of overall operational effectiveness and efficiencies of the entire organization.

  • Manage year-end external audit of internal controls and business processes.

  • Create the strategy behind the creation and implementation of project timelines and budgets while enhancing internal auditing procedures.

  • Maintain awareness of internal control audit trends and drive compliance of processes within the Internal Audit group; deliver operational adjustments based on changes in industry standards and governmental regulations.

  • Direct audit scope, objectives, work plans and contributes to long-term audit plans, including the selection of appropriate audit tests, identification of key controls, utilization of statistical methods, and use of survey, interview and computer-assisted audit techniques

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business field and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience or training with more than 5 years of relevant experience, and/or military equivalent. Professional designation such as CPA, CIA, CISA, etc. or progress towards designation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business related field and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience or training more than 5 years of relevant experience.

AND/OR

  • Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences:

  • Professional designation such as CPA, CIA, CISA, etc. or progress towards designation.

  • Excel and Word proficiency required with Access or SQL a plus

  • Experience with business writing.

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education,

experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for

annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus

and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.

Accounting/Payroll, Auditing, Finance

Certifications:

Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) - ISACA, Certified Public Accountant - National Association of State Board of Accountancy (US)
