Job DescriptionThe Aerospace Defense Custom Systems (ADCS) team has been growing for 13years at a significant rate. Continuation of this growth will depend on theability of business development personnel to create new business with currentcustomer communities and to find new customers for ADCS systems and products.In support of this growth the ADCS team is looking for a sales-orientedindividual, preferably with an RF engineering background, to work as partof the business development team. This individual will be responsible forsupporting the current Business Development team in the generation of quotesand proposals for custom systems, spares, and switch matrices.In this role you will have a direct and tangible effect on the businessresults for the ADCS team, working with a high-class engineering team totranslate their concepts into value for our customers and growth for thebusiness. You will benefit from participating in the full businessoperation, including engineering, customer relationships, contracts andfinance. You will also build relationships within the team, with ourcustomers and with the sales team.Identify target customers for ADCS systems by working with field engineers andapplication engineers to understand potential needs, customer constraintsand business position.Work with customers to identify solution needs and define detailedrequirements; business, project and technical.Liaise with engineering team to match ADCS technical capabilities to customerneeds. Work with engineering to demonstrate to customer that ADCS can meet alltheir requirements and influence any RFPs and statements of work as needed toplace ADCS in a position to secure the businessUnderstand competitive environment and structure ADCS offering - bothtechnically and commercially - to counter any competitive threat.Develop close relationship with field engineer, making sure that the winstrategy leverages the strengths of both field and 'factory'.Ensure that the pricing accurately reflects the engineering estimates andmaterial costs.Schedule and run the necessary reviews with ADCS engineering and managementteams to ensure that all ADCS personnel are comfortable with the solution.Write proposal with winning messages and pricing - to result in a win againstthe competitionOnce the proposal is submitted, work with the contracts team to negotiateterms and conditions of the dealNegotiate pricing with the customer, assess competitive price and balancethis against Keysight needs - to result in a winning priced proposal.Follow orders as they are passed to Delivery team to ensure smooth transitionsand complete understanding of customer needs and expectations.Maintain relationship with customer, follow projects and monitor customersatisfaction on an ongoing basis.Together with the FE - establish methods for using successful engagements tobuild additional business within each customer communityStep and repeat with existing and new customersJob QualificationsBachelors or Masters Degree or University Degree or equivalent, preferablyin engineering discipleMinimum of 5 years experience in a sales related roleRequires in-depth knowledge and experience in job and ability to workindependently.Communicator: Demonstrated ability to negotiate with customersResults Driven Strong bias for action and will aggressively pursueopportunities and navigate external and internal obstaclesWilling to Travel: possible 50% travel requiredJob FunctionShift:Day JobSchedule:Full Time (F)Travel Required:> 50%Duration (Temp Positions Only):Not ApplicableColorado Pay Range:US Employees may be eligible for the following benefits:* Medical, dental and vision* Health Savings Account* Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts* Life, Accident, Disability insurance* Business Travel Accident and Business Travel Health* 401(k) Plan* Flexible Time Off, Paid Holidays* Paid Family Leave* Discounts, Perks* Tuition Reimbursement* Adoption Assistance* ESPP (Employee Stock Purchase Plan)___
