Army National Guard Units FLIGHT ENGINEER (INSTRUCTOR) (TITLE 32) in Louisville, Tennessee

Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a FLIGHT ENGINEER (INSTRUCTOR) (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD0606000 and is part of the TN ARMY Army National Guard. This vacancy is covered by Association of Civilian Technicians (ACT), Chapter 110. Responsibilities As a FLIGHT ENGINEER (INSTRUCTOR) GS-2185-10, you will serve as instructor/flight examiner providing instruction, evaluation, and examination on ground and operational training flights to develop and upgrade skills of aircrew members. Apply full range of aircrew duties and responsibilities, methods of instruction and requirements of the program, perform standardization, currency, instrument, proficiency, tactical, emergency and special tasks evaluation flights. May perform duties of Flight Engineer which include utilizing a knowledge of major aircraft systems associated with heavy multiengine aircraft. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: E-5 through E-7 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience which has provided the applicant with a knowledge of aircraft weight and balance computations; aircraft performance data; aircraft records maintenance; and aircraft systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 24 months specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience, education or training instructing and performing a full range of flight crew work supporting heavy multiengine aircraft. Experience aiding the pilot in the overall operation of aircraft. Experience instructing and performing flight engineering and loadmaster work. Experience in missions ranging from combat service support, transport of troops and aeromedical evacuations. Experience providing assistance to the pilot in flight planning, monitoring and operating engines and a wide variety of aircraft control systems to include fuel, electrical, hydraulic, fire suppression, environmental, pressurization.
