University of Louisville Training Specialist II (Workforce Trainer) in Louisville, Kentucky

Grade 6 (Salaried)Position Description:The Digital Transformation Center - Office of Research and Innovation is seeking a Training Specialist II. The Training Specialist II (Workforce Trainer) supports the vision for University of Louisville as described in the Cardinal Principles in the following ways: oversees and supports programs and resources housed within the Digital Transformation Center (DTC) via the Office of Research and Innovation, including but not limited to professional development trainings, workshops, liaison with technology vendors supporting research, community and education. http://louisville.edu/digital-transformation/learnThe Training Specialist is primarily responsible for developing and conducting professional development programs utilizing the Digital Transformation vendors and vendor resources (Adobe, Google, IBM, Microsoft etc.), leading initiatives and projects, and assessing upskill/reskill needs. This position includes functions like creating training materials, delivering training and utilizing training websites, maintaining registration/reporting and using learning management systems, recruiting participants, and maintain and developing partnerships.This position is grant funded to provide upskilling/re-skilling for workforce technology skills. This position is full time with benefits and will also assist in special projects by providing support to coordinate research proposal identification and submissions to the various entities for additional grants and funding.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support the Director of Learning of the DTC with professional development programs, seminars, workshops for faculty, staff, students, and community.Plan, coordinate, schedule, and train activities such as overview of technology badges, certificates, certifications using vendor materials.Develop, expand and nurture partnerships with external resources.Conduct technology training sessions. Prepare and maintain records and reports related to his/her conducted DTC activities.Work on special DTC projects.Perform additional duties, as assigned.Preferred Qualifications Three to five years of related teaching/training experience.
