University of Louisville Research Assistant II in Louisville, Kentucky

Minimum Requirements:Associate’s degree in a related field and one (1) or more years of relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 2 (Hourly)Position Description:The Research Assistant II will work with the Principal Investigator (PI) on clinical trial research for the Envirome Institute in the Department of Medicine. This research includes industry-sponsored, NIH, and Investigator-initiated research studies involving human subjects.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform required study-related activities according to the study protocols. This includes recruiting and screening potential research subjects, obtaining informed consent, collecting required data, assisting with surgical procedures, blood draw, laboratory processing and shipments of specimens, and dispensing of study medications, devices, and/or clinical trial materials as delegated by the PI.Complete all required institutional research courses and certifications, study specific trainings, and maintain current professional license.
