Job Title: Production Operators

Job Description

We are seeking motivated candidates to begin by learning to load parts into a machine. As you excel, there will be opportunities to move into other positions within the plant. Some roles may include basic quotas for parts production, with specific goals outlined in the work instructions. The ideal candidate will aim to progress to the roll forming side of the plant.

Responsibilities

  • Load parts into machines for initial processing.

  • Meet production quotas as specified in work instructions.

  • Progress to other positions within the plant as proficiency is demonstrated.

  • Potentially move to the roll forming side of the plant.

  • Use calipers and micrometers if applicable.

  • Drive a truck for deliveries once permanent.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in production and machine operation.

  • Mechanical inclination.

  • Good dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to use calipers and micrometers.

  • Experience with punch press and roll forming.

  • General production and manufacturing experience.

Work Environment

The facility is air-conditioned and climate-controlled with fans at several workstations. Steel-toe footwear is required, and uniforms are provided once permanent. The plant includes hot roll, cold roll, and punch press areas producing brass, aluminum, and stainless steel parts, as well as a polishing department with dry, wet, and polishing machines. First shift hours are 7am - 3:30pm (Mon-Fri), with breaks at 9:10am, 11:25am, and 2:00pm. Third shift hours are 10:30pm - 7am (Sun-Thurs), with breaks at 12:40am, 2:55am, and 5:30am. Note that summer is a peak period with increased work volume.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
