The Inventory Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement, management, and distribution of materials and supplies necessary for construction projects. The role ensures the timely availability of quality materials, manages supplier relationships, monitors inventory levels, and implements cost-effective procurement strategies to meet project requirements. This role is critical to the smooth operation of projects, ensuring materials are available when needed and maintaining inventory accuracy.

salary: $55,000 - $70,000 per year

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Management:

  • Source, negotiate, and procure construction materials, equipment, and supplies in accordance with project specifications.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable material availability and delivery.

  • Review and evaluate vendor quotes, ensuring competitive pricing and contract terms.

  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, local regulations, and industry standards.

  • Loading and unloading inventory

  • Storing inventory in the correct place via forklift.

  • Inventory Control:

  • Manage inventory levels for materials and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet project needs without overstocking.

  • Implement and maintain effective inventory control systems to track stock levels, deliveries, and stock movements.

  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of inventory, investigating discrepancies and taking corrective actions as needed.

The essential functions of this role include:

  • working in a smoke free environment

  • wearing steel toe shoes

  • manual lifting up to 50lbs

  • standing for 6 hours at one time
