Position Summary
This position will provide administrative support to the People and Culture Team, including HR, Benefits & Payroll.
Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Payroll
- Process weekly payroll for all US pay groups.
- Ensure that the time files are closed and ready for payroll processing.
- Canadian Payroll Experience.
- Review, validate, and audit payroll-related entries (for new hires & terminating employees).
- Support the HR team with various duties as assigned by management.
- Various areas of the year-end process for payroll.
Benefits
- Manage file feeds in and out of the UltiPro/UKG payroll system and the funding process to multiple carriers and retirement vendors.
- Run audit reports to ensure that the data is processed accurately.
- Serve as the backup for the leave of absence process
Competency Requirements
- Ability to multitask and support day-to-day activities while managing customer inquiries.
- Knowledgeable of basic payroll processing requirements and general HR functions.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in Payroll Processing/Timekeeping system applications.
- Canadian Payroll
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications preferred.
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to (walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear). The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision for computer monitor, and the ability to adjust focus.
