Adecco US, Inc. Part-Time Lab Accessioner in Louisville, Kentucky

A Part-Time Lab Accessioner position in Louisville, KY is now available through Adecco Healthcare and Life Sciences. In this role, you will be responsible for the receiving and triaging of all patient specimens. Efficiently and accurately assigns each specimen an accession number. Enters all pertinent patient, sample, test and facility information into the LIMS database. This is a minimum 6-month temp/contract position starting in September 2024. The hours are Saturday and Sunday from 2:00am-8:00am. The hourly pay rate is $ 18.50/hr.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Learns and follows the established standard operating procedures for sample handling, reporting of results to team leads, supervisors and managers, and recordkeeping.

· Receives and triages patient specimens.

· Assigns each specimen an accession number and creates a patient chart.

· Enters patient information into LIMS database, with strict adherence to HIPPA laws.

· Transports all accessioned specimens and tracking sheets to the DNA extraction team and/or cell culture team, as appropriate.

· Label patient documents with barcode and scan patient charts.

· Perform accurate internal checks of all specimens and patient charts accessioned for the day.

Qualifications:

· Minimum High School diploma or GED is required.

· Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a related laboratory field.

· Experience in data entry and must be able to type at least 40+ WPM.

· Able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.

Pay Details: $18.50 per hour
