KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, OpenShift Engineer to join our Digital Nexus Technology organization. This is a remote work opportunity organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced level technical support to application teams using the OpenShift platform; troubleshoot and resolve technical issue related to OpenShift platform

  • Work closely with application teams to understand their requirement and provide guidance and recommendations to optimize their OpenShift deployment

  • Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of industry directions and trends

  • Collaborate with other teams such as operations and middleware to ensure timely resolution of issues; mentor and train other support engineers to improve their technical skills and knowledge of OpenShift

  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical issues

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including knowledge base articles and best practices; contribute to the development of automation tools and scripts to improve support processes

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years of recent experience in providing technical support for enterprise software applications; minimum three years of recent experience managing a medium to large scale container platform including experience with initial rollout, implementation of new patterns and images, automation, scale up/down, reporting on health and recommendations for healthy operations

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred

  • Strong experience with OpenShift, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting; solid understanding of containerization and Kubernetes

  • Demonstrated ability to engineer/solution CI/CD processes in an enterprise environment, preferably using GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins

  • Scripting experience with knowledge of some of the common languages such as Shell, Bash, Python and PowerShell; firm knowledge of the SDLC lifecycle is required, while coding experience with software development languages is preferred; working knowledge of team collaboration software like MS Teams

  • Detail-oriented and thorough, with effective time management skills and excellent technical writing and editing skills; must have the ability to work effectively with clients, IT management and other team members; ability to positively influence, mentor and be a credible source of knowledge to less experienced team members

  • US citizenship is required
