The Role

The Network Implementation Program Manager will provide end to end project management for a wide variety of projects involving the construction, repair, maintenance and relocation of ISP & OSP facilities. They will manage and build relationships with vendors, construction contractors, various trade workers, project managers, etc to effectively monitor and manage quality and completion of work and resolve specific issues. This position must ensure projects are completed with quality, on budget and within time constraints.

The Main Responsibilities

• End to end project management for various projects involving the relocation, maintenance, repair, and construction of ISP and OSP facilities.

• Oversee the construction process from concept to completion and ensure that the projects meet the quality, budget, and timelines for delivery.

• Build relationships, manage, and supervise engineering vendors, construction contractors, various trade workers, and project managers.

• Effective workload balancing among resources to maintain schedules.

• Effectively manage the quality and completion of work by all vendors through inspecting, identifying, and correcting any issues.

• Field interface for engineering or construction.

• Report on the progress of all projects and update key stakeholders and applicable systems.

• Creating MOPs for all maintenance activities on the fiber network.

Main Duties

• Design and engineer the network buildout according to Lumen's objectives, standards, and specifications.

• Apply in-depth knowledge of the network and networking protocols along with excellent communication skills to perform in-depth troubleshooting.

• Perform site surveys, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and risk assessments for network projects.

• Supports the Outside Plant (OSP) fiber network by performing on-call duties, network troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs and analyzes complex network issues to provide short-term and/or long-term resolution plans.

• Manage and review the creation and receipt of engineering drawings, plans, specifications, contracts, and permits.

• Coordinate and communicate with internal and external parties including customers, vendors, contractors, regulators, and utility companies.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, policies, and procedures for the network projects.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Required

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education with 2-3 years of relevant experience.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunication network engineering, construction, maintenance, and repair environments.

• Possesses project management and coordination skills, as well as strong technical, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Knowledgeable and able to work in appropriate systems, such as CAD, GIS, and Microsoft Office.

• Fluent on current approved products and technology.

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$63,980 - $85,300 in these states: KY

$67,340 - $89,780 in these states: TN

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
