Description

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative based in Louisville, Kentucky! As part of the team, this role will focus on inside sales and customer service, functioning as a key contact point for specific accounts, handling customer inquiries, and managing customer email requests. This role is a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.

• Act as the main point of contact for specific accounts as determined by management.

• Monitor and manage customer email requests, responding promptly and accurately.

• Take on the role of back-up receptionist when required, ensuring all calls are answered quickly and consistently.

• Solicit sales with current or prospective customers, focusing on selling discontinued or excess inventory.

• Verify pricing for stock orders and check stock availability.

• Accurately enter customer purchase orders and manage any additions or reductions.

• Handle product knowledge questions from customers and provide spec sheets when requested.

• Manage back orders, contacting customers when back order is available to add on to order if possible.

• Work with the tech department to better understand product specifications and features.

Requirements

• Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Experience in answering inbound calls in a professional manner

• Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail

• Proven track record in inside sales, demonstrating strong negotiation and persuasion abilities

• Familiarity with processing purchase orders and managing accounts

• Strong account management skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

• Proactive problem solver with a customer-focused approach

• Willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
