Mercer Transportation Customer Service Representative in Louisville, Kentucky

Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-5pmAs a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for facilitating the efficient calculation and authorization of national accounts charges. Compiling data to compute fees and charges, preparing invoices for billing purposes and maintaining accurate records.Essential Job Functions Answers phone, responds to customers' requests, analyzes requests, provides information requested or ascertains who can best provide the information, and routes the request to the appropriate person. Locates local maintenance vendors, as requested, for on-the-road drivers. Assists drivers with tire prices through Mercer’s preferred National Accounts vendors. Authorizes maintenance loans up to a maximum of $1500.00 per driver and $3000.00 for tires. Completes and faxes Authorization to Deduct forms and other required documents. Issues Purchase Order Numbers and EFS money codes for maintenance loans. Receives bills from various vendors and drafts check requests to be forwarded to Accounts Payable. Mediates invoice disputes between drivers and National Account vendors. Identifies bill discrepancies and reconciles invoice disputes between drivers and vendors. Contacts vendors to correct billing inconsistencies. Maintains files for all drivers and vendors as required.Essential Skills and Experience Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of accounting systems and procedures. Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism. Proficiency in data entry and office software applications.
