As the Consumer and Commercial Insights Senior Manager you will play an instrumental role in guiding GE Appliances House of Brands (Monogram, CAFÉ, GE Profile, Ge Appliances, Haier & Hotpoint), product lines (Refrigeration, Cooking, Laundry, Dish, AC/HVAC and Small Appliances), and Air & Water on key strategic decisions surrounding the development and launching of new innovations. You will have the opportunity to lead the organization in advancing new technologies and capabilities to gain more in-depth understanding of consumers, trends and new product ideas. As a strategic partner with a key seat at the table, you’ll work closely with Brand and Product Marketing teams, along with Industrial Design and Technology to uncover new opportunities to deliver breakthrough solutions which enhance product and ownership experiences for consumers while continuing to elevate our brands. This role reports to the Senior Director, Consumer Insights and Ownership Experience.

How You'll Create Possibilities

  • Define, scope, and manage research projects and deliver key learning and actionable insights to guide decisions at all levels of the organization.

  • Proactively lead paths to address challenging business questions which will shape the strategic direction of business teams.

  • Assess, coordinate, and manage supplier partners on new research projects.

  • Appropriately leverage existing and new research approaches to uncover new insights.

  • Synthesize multiple data sources and effectively articulate to stakeholders key learning and recommended actions.

  • Support implementation of consumer insights best practices and educating business partners

  • Drive seamless connections across organization to be fully informed on the business and key challenges.

  • Extract untapped value and insights from existing data sets and platforms.

  • Continuously build consumer acumen and empathy for the organization across diverse consumer groups

  • Remove organizational blind spots to consumer mindsets, behaviors and cultural shifts.

  • Utilize social listening to identify potential new exploration territories.

  • Drive zero distance to consumer culture across the organization.

  • Partner with Ownership Experience, Consumer Digital Solutions and First Build to drive expanded growth opportunities

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university of college

  • 7+ years Consumer Insights experience with in-depth knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative methods and statistical techniques

  • Mix of experience working with Brand Marketing and Product Design/Innovation Teams

  • Experience working in partnership with Analytics Teams

  • Client side and/or Supplier side experience working within CPG, Durable or Automotive industries.

  • Experience operating at a high level within a matrix organization.

  • Prior experience developing and presenting data intensive analysis

  • Strong project management skills of large scope and complexity

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross functional teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive consumer first mindset culture within a large organization

Desired Characteristics

  • Master’s in Business Administration from an accredited university or college
