Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a BI Quality Control Analyst to join our team local to Louisville, KY. The role involves ensuring software fidelity and user experience throughout the product lifecycle. The candidate will develop and improve existing scripts, tests, and processes to monitor Snowflake, ETL, and MicroStrategy environments. They will succinctly update the team on developing issues and learn the data structure within MicroStrategy to facilitate efficient user analysis. Periodically, they will work with end users to identify and prioritize software defects, providing first-level support or guidance for minor problems. The candidate will help translate business requirements for defect correction and quality improvements into refinement-ready user stories. Leveraging automation and standardization, they will enhance the efficiency and velocity of testing. Collaborating with team leaders, they will identify business risks associated with software/hardware changes and determine the appropriate level of quality assurance. They will learn the data model and critically review new developments to reduce duplication of effort and ambiguity. The role includes reviewing development requirements and design documents to promote meaningful testing and ensuring appropriate automation coverage through communication and collaboration with other Scrum team members. Additionally, they will learn how users are impacted by poor data or report design and introduce initiatives to remediate these issues. The candidate will provide overall guidance on system health and integrity through daily monitoring and bi-weekly summaries to the team. This focus of this role could be deemed a ratio of 75% technical and 25% client / business responsibilities such as building reports to be displayed to key stakeholders. This is a Monday Friday role, working onsite each day from 9:00AM to nearly 5:00PM.

Skills and Requirements

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical degree

- 3+ years of experience with Data Analysis

- Professional Experience working with Microsoft Azure

- Experience using ER Diagrams (data model)

- Experience working with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for data imports

- Experience writing object-oriented scripts to perform testing and data comparisons

- Experience writing object-oriented scripts to perform testing and data comparisons - Master degree in Computer Science or related technical degree

- Understanding of data warehouse concepts such as Star/Snowflake, Normalization, or Slowly Changing Dimensions

- Experience serving as an Agile Scrum team member in most recent role

- Experience writing object-oriented scripts to perform testing and data comparison

- Prior experience working with the design and architecture of a Windows SQL Database / Server null
