Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Louisville, Kentucky

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in our office located in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's accounts receivable records and ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of customer payments.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately record customer payments including cash, checks, and credit card transactions.

• Regularly conduct account research and analysis to ensure customer payment accuracy.

• Reconciling Accounts Receivable to the General Ledger and identifying necessary process adjustments.

• Prepare and maintain various reports related to customer payments and account statuses.

• Handle the collection of unpaid balances from customers and escalate issues as appropriate.

• Process customer credits and prepare deposits as needed.

• Support the 1099 reporting process.

• Interact with customers to resolve outstanding issues and inquiries.

• Conduct vendor statement reviews and obtain missing invoices and credit memos.

• Keep track, process and reconcile payments and expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, statements, checks, refund requisitions in compliance with financial policies and procedures. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Familiarity with Billing procedures

• Skills in Cash Applications

• Knowledge of Cash Collections process

• Experience with Commercial Collections

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Understanding of Oracle database system

• Experience with QuickBooks accounting software

• Knowledge of SAP financial software

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Solid organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness

• Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

• Relevant work experience in a similar role is advantageous
