Description Work as an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk in a stimulating work environment with a team of highly skilled professionals through this opportunity offered by Robert Half. While working closely and reporting to the Accounting Manager, the candidate in this role will be expected to manage the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. Matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are integral functions for this position. Located in Louisville, Kentucky, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire opening.

What you get to do every single day

• Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling

• Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies

• Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

• Perform full-cycle A/P

• Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them

• Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department

• Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it

• Perform special projects as assigned

• Help with internal and external audits as required Requirements - Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
