Apply concepts of wired and wireless technologies to develop an optimized network design to produce improved performance results in terms of throughput and latency; install operating systems on bare metal servers and setup necessary software packages to enable essential network functions, use cable connections and implement network routing protocols to establish communication between the physical servers within a lab environment; deploy virtual networks on cloud computing platforms and orchestrate Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) using Ansible or Terraform, set up telecommunication protocols for the functional blocks to be able to exchange information for the purpose of management of the network architecture; automate the deployment and management of a network and its functions with software tools such as Ansible and Terraform; centralize the intelligence of a network with a programmable network behavior in a Software-Defined Network (SDN) architecture for enhanced control over bandwidth management and routing policies; abstract network services and applications from the underlying hardware and utilize Application Programming Interface (APIs) for the software applications to be able to interact with the network; contribute to the advanced initiatives in Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and Software-Defined Networks (SDN) that address the migration of hardware-centric network functionalities into software-based platforms in enterprise networks; utilize cloud native technologies such as Kubernetes to build network virtualization layers that are more scalable to meet demand and have better fault-tolerant capabilities; implement programmable data plane architectures for faster packet processing by moving the control to the forwarding component of a network device; develop software to program network behavior for multi-vendor interoperability within enterprise network enterprise network environments.

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications required. Must have 2 years of experience in job offered or as a Network Software Engineer.

Must have 2 years of experience (may be gained concurrently with the above experience) in: Kubernetes workloads in a bare mental Linux environment DOCSIS PON/Ethernet Wireless (4G & 5G) networks L2 & L3 networking Red Hat Open Shift Orchestration of VNFs and integration with network infrastructure Configuring and managing various network OS including Cisco IOS, Arista EOS, OcNOS, Extreme XOS Cabling and setting up network devices such as routers and switches.

Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience. The salary range is $77,875.00-$112,476.00.
