Siena College Visiting Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies and Sciences in Loudonville, New York

The Department of Environmental Studies and Sciences at Siena College invites applications for a visiting faculty position for the 2024-25 Academic Year. The term of appointment is September 2024 through June 2025. Salary is commensurate with academic credentials.

The successful candidate will teach a 4-course load each semester, with primary responsibility in the fall for our required introductory course: Environmental Science. The two associated environmental science lab sections count toward the 4-course load. Other assignments may include introductory-level courses in Biological Diversity, Principles of Ecology, or Environment and Society, or an upper-level elective in the candidate's field(s) of expertise.

Annual Salary: $60,000.00 - Instructor, $77,410.00 - Assistant Professor

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated undergraduate teaching experience. While a doctorate in an interdisciplinary environmental field is preferred, qualified candidates with a Master's degree in a related field will be considered. Review of credentials will begin immediately. Finalists will be interviewed via zoom and a background screening will be required.
