As the Sr. Manager, Creative Tools & Innovation you'll provide subject matter expertise on modern technology and consult with internal teams and partners to identify gaps, recommend creative technical solutions, and establish tool roadmaps in support of the Walmart Creative Studio. You will govern the internal use cases and processes to enable Creative and Production capabilities - working collaboratively to define our ecosystem needs, requirements, interdependencies, risks, implementation, and operations for creative tooling and governance. As part of the Creative Business Operations team, this role works closely with Creative, Integrated Production, and Project Management to advance the Creative Studio's ways of working for optimal innovation, efficiency, and measurement. You will also partner to define internal data and reporting metrics related to our tools with the objective of improving productively, creative output, and our value proposition within the broader Marketing organization. Your passion for technology within a creative environment will help bring new rigor and energy to the Creative Studio infrastructure and tools operations.
This role is responsible for collaborating with Integrated Production to define shared technology needs and gaps, partnering with MarTech to advocate for Creative Studio tools and scale best practices, and working with Marketing Operations and Project Management to align on integrated processes and interdependencies.

Our Marketing team has flexibility on location. You can live within driving distance to one of our hubs: San Bruno, CA or Los Angeles, CA, with preference given to those in Los Angeles. We're moving toward 3 days in the office per week, with flexibility.
Example of duties:
Act as liaison to leaders across Creative Business Operations, Creative, Integrated Production, and Marketing to develop and maintain a strategic direction for creative tooling and processes.
Define internal use cases, configurations, support, and process training for Walmart Creative Studio tools.
Codify and manage internal process for tool considerations, business justifications, and roll outs.
Act as primary POC for MarTech to prioritize Walmart Creative Studio needs and requirements, represent our top use cases that require support, scalable guidelines and process governance.
Partner with Marketing Operations to best align Walmart Creative Studio tool strategy and processes to broader best practices and systems.
Help report on status of tool assessments, implementation, operations and system performance to Walmart Creative Studio Leadership and external partners.
Stay up to date on emerging technologies; research and develop data-based techniques to audit and optimize creative tools.
Mentor and manage the Creative Tools Ops Manager and Creative Tools Coordinators
Distill complex technology and infrastructure concepts and strategies into simple, understandable language for a diverse set of partners and collaborators.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or similar, OR 6+ years as a Creative Technologist or Marketing Technology expert.
4+ years of experience in project management, or related field.
Deep comprehension of platforms utilized by world-class Production and Creative teams, and how to design, onboard, deploy, operate and gain value from platforms and vendor relationships.
Familiar with video, motion, design, web design and photography workflows (including LucidLink, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Shotflow, Workhorse, Figma).
Strong appreciation for the power of APIs, technology, fast culture and social media, and the role technology plays in elevating design and experience innovation.
Strategic attitude, able to keep things moving while maintaining a vision of the bigger picture and define a path forward that delivers incremental value along the way.
Understands to how to navigate and drive influence in a large, complex marketing organization.
Proactive, comfortable with ambiguity, and flexible in the face of shifting client needs due to the rapidly changing nature of the technology space.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent soft skills (influencing, persuasion, and communication) and proven relationship-building skills.
Marketing/creative agency experience in-house, even better
Experience in the Marketing, Retail or eComm industry
Exposure to asset management tooling (DAM, MAM)

The annual salary range for this position is $105,000.00-$195,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
