Job Description

A distinguished University in Los Angeles is looking for a Sr. Workday Partner to lead their Workday team which consists of about four full time employees and three contractors. Under the general direction of the Director of Enterprise Applications, The ITS Workday Manager provides oversight of the current and future usage of the Workday platform. This includes partnering with business units to ensure the effective use of the system, coordination of upgrades, and identification of new features that should be evaluated for implementation. The ITS Workday Manager will work closely with individuals in ITS, Finance, and Human Resources to ensure their effective usage of the product. The day to day of their job can be organized into thirds. One-third of the role will be leading the seven-person Workday team which supports end-to-end on Workday HCM and Finance across campus. Another third of the role will be focused on communicating with campus peers in different departments such as HR, Finance, and Budgeting in order to keep in partnership with the program leads. The last third component of this role is outward facing management and engagement with campus sponsors of Workday such as the VP of HR or the CFO or CIO.

This person needs to be technical enough with Workday that they understand how to guide the team on the report writing process, SDLC, module implementation process and can speak the language with the IT teams, but also needs to have excellent communication and leadership skills. A successful person in this role is extremely intuitive and forward thinking, collaborative, and anticipates problems through proactive problem solving and presentation of solutions. This team is highly collaborative and requires a candidate open to group decision-making.

Pay range: $60-75 hourly

Skills and Requirements

-5+ years of experience with Workday (HCM and Finance)

-Proficiency with ERP systems (Preferred Ellucian Banner - Higher Ed ERP) and familiarity with Talend

-Extensive cross-collaboration experience with different groups such as HR and Finance

-Knowledgeable about the softare development lifecycle

-Familiar with common project management tools such as Smartsheets, Jira, or Confluence -Higher Education, non-profit, healthcare or government experience.

-Ellucian Banner experience

-advanced technical experience and proficiency with Workday HCM/Finance modules null
