Shipping Analyst
ANINE BING is looking for a Shipping Analyst to join its Strategic Finance team based in Los Angeles.
The Shipping Analyst will spearhead projects from inception to implementation turning data into actionable insights in order to enhance profitability at ANINE BING.
The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of inbound and outbound logistics and experience working with large data sets. This person is driven, detail-oriented, and works collaboratively with Finance, Operations, and business partners across the organization. An analytical, curious, and open-minded approach to problem-solving are essential to thrive in this role.
This role can be remote or hybrid in our Los Angeles HQ, and will report to the Senior Director, Strategic Finance.
Responsibilities Include
Develop financial models related to inbound and outbound shipping to optimize cost, transit times, and service levels
Collaborate cross-functionally and with 3PLs to aggregate and dissect data from various departments and sources to conduct comprehensive service level, cost, and transit analysis at both aggregate and unit levels
Create a sophisticated shipping model to assess areas of need, gaps in service offerings, and potential impacts of contract changes on shipping operations.
Identify areas of improvement for inbound and outbound shipping across transit lanes, freight, duties, accessorials, etc., proposing actionable solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Develop, monitor, and analyze performance dashboards and reports related to transportation and shipping logistics, providing regular reports and insights to stakeholders.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in shipping logistics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in related logistics activities such as freight rates, freight bill auditing, and carrier-related activities (sea/air/land).
Strong working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and advanced skills in MS Office: Excel, Access (creating tables, forms, queries, macros), and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret large datasets to drive decision-making.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex data-driven insights to stakeholders.

Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $110,000
