Jacobs Senior Program Director - Aviation Terminals in Los Angeles, California

As a vital member of our US West Region Aviation team, you’ll have the chance to work on challenging projects where we’ll depend on your expertise, intuition, and leadership with planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of projects. You’ll be leading multidiscipline design and construction teams to complete tasks within established schedules and budgets and help advance our business development strategies. If you want to join a company invested in you and your success, join us as an Aviation Senior Project Manager. Specific responsibilities will include:

• Manage external client and stakeholders, as well as internal staff to complete work on-time and within budget, including interfacing with teams working on other airport programs/projects

• Coordinate design and construction activities with airport clients, consultants, stakeholders, and airlines

• Oversee interdisciplinary teams and provide review and guidance to project team during development of project deliverables

• When necessary, coordinate projects with regulatory agencies and serve as a liaison between clients and agencies

• Mentor other aviation staff

• Assist with proposal development and participate in interviews and presentations as needed.

• Take an active role and participation in US aviation industry trade organizations (ACC, ACI, AAAE, ASCE, etc.); including presentation of papers, publications and serving on select committees

Typical salary range for this position is $250,000 to $325,000 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.

'- Bachelor of Science Degree in related field, Master of Science a plus

  • Minimum 12 years aviation experience

  • Registered Professional Engineer or Architect in CA

  • Strong leadership skills with ability to relate to both technical staff and external clients

  • Excellent communication and team building skills, including strong technical writing skills

  • Working at multiple large and medium hub commercial airports in North America.

  • Ability to manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously

  • Managing consultants, contractors, and program managers

  • Previous experience as project manager or project engineer on multiple projects

  • Experience with planning/scheduling, budgeting, and risk management tools

  • Collaborating with stakeholders and end users a plus

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Previous work experience delivering projects under FAA AIP program requirements

  • Previous work experience with navigating local, state, and federal permitting agencies and requirements
