Description

Family owned and operated real estate investment, and development company has partnered with Robert Half Legal in their search for a real estate paralegal who is understands the ins and outs of leases for multifamily and commercial properties. This is a contract to hire role with great potential for the right candidate.

Responsibilities of Real Estate Paralegal:

• Proficient in Microsoft Word: Redlining leases and amendments

• Manipulation of graphics in Adobe (we can train)

• Comparite software/Microsoft office suite

• Familiar with Commercial Real Estate lease language

• Recap reports (on hold as the kinks are being worked out from switching to Yardi), ground lease summary report spreadsheet input, and miscellaneous projects

• Leasing: reviewing leases, getting final approval, coordinating signatures and returning originals to AZ/LV offices

• Lender communication: obtaining lease approvals, sending copies of all new leases and amendments, coordinating lender requests for financials, coordinate with lenders to obtain signatures for refinances and leasing updates

• Entity management: setting up new entities, submitting annual filings, downloading any notices we receive from our registered agent and forwarding to appropriate people, paying fees, assisting with refinances when entity documents are needed and filing

• Notary: notarizing various documents (nice to have)

• Answering phones

• General office assistant coverage from time to time

• Adobe Acrobat, Billing Functions, Calendar Management, Communication, Leases, Commercial Real Estate, Real Estate - Leasing, Real Estate Transfers, Phone Operations, Corporate Paralegal

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal

• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat

• Familiarity with Case Management Software

• Knowledge of CompuLaw

• Experience in handling leases

• Knowledge of commercial real estate

• Familiarity with real estate - leasing

• Experience in real estate transfers

Hours: 8:30 - 5:00pm 30 min lunch or 5:30 for hour lunch
