SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION:

The Sr. Manager, Learning Technology & Innovation oversees our corporate Learning Management Systems, online virtual training seminars, and all learning technology platforms and solutions. This individual will assist to establish a shared vision for best-in-class and cutting-edge learning technologies. Technical responsibilities include leading and managing all aspects of the LMS, developing HTML webpages, editing videos, and leveraging both SCORM and xAPI to meet specific project needs. Instructional media content development includes, but is not limited to, e-learning modules, simulations, instructional webcasts, training videos, mobile learning, SOPs, online help manuals, and social learning/networking activities. This individual also manages one direct report within the Learning & Innovation Technology team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  • Provide governance, oversight, and general management of the company’s LMS and keep site optimized and organized; set up, configure, and test custom internal and external LMS portals for a variety of clients and business units; use intermediate to advance HTML to create custom LMS pages that meets the needs of clients and training programs; provide team members, SMEs, and clients ongoing LMS consultation and support; develop technical training resources, including eLearning, instructional videos, job-aids, how-to guides, and FAQs related to the LMS; assist in the development of LMS surveys and engagement reports and deliver findings to key stakeholders; work cross-functionally to ensure each business units' needs in developing user permissions, workflows and connections with external tools are developed and maintained

  • Manage all phases of planning and executing live and recorded virtual learning events using Adobe Connect, My Teams, Zoom, etc., and host virtual meetings by running the technology such as launching polls, managing breakouts, and chat activities; manage every detail of virtual meeting execution to train and empower speakers and facilitators to focus on content delivery; work closely with our event sponsors and speakers to execute virtual learning events; lead post-event data analysis to track effectiveness of event features and outcome; manage relationships with outside vendors, and prepare ROI evaluations of events and conferences; manage schedule of upcoming events and send out communications and co-promote events via internal and external channels; maintain registrations sites, communications, and drive high quality audience engagement via virtual events

  • Ensures that direct report is provided with clear expectations & direction and is empowered and held accountable to achieve his/her goals and performance expectations; support team collaboration by resolving conflicts as they arise, removing roadblocks, inspiring people to action; provides regular and meaningful feedback to direct report and coworkers through feedback and coaching; manages project teams and external resources/vendors

  • Assist in the design and development of multi-media technology training materials and programs using Articulate; develop technical and experiential training resources, including instructional videos, job-aids, how-to guides, and FAQs related to the LMS

  • Lead the development and execution of training communication plans related to the implementation of new systems, enhancements, and/or process changes; act as a bridge between the business problems and the learning technology solutions; research and implement emerging learning technologies and concepts, including gamification, digital badging, 3D simulations, mobile, social learning, etc.; keep current with trends, best practices, new technologies, and emerging innovations in the learning and development field; provide guidance and tactical direction with regards to identifying and selecting learning technologies and vendors; partner with key business stakeholders to understand program goals and define the learning technical solution(s)

  • Fulfill other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Master's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or Technical Learning related field from an accredited university or college

  • 5+ years of managing large scale corporate learning management systems, 3+ years of Cornerstone on Demand LMS management & experience, 4+ years of leading, managing, and hosting virtual learning conferences using various platforms (Adobe Connect, My Teams, Zoom, etc.), 4+ years of creating eLearning solutions using Articulate Storyline, 4+ years of advanced experience producing and editing training videos using Camtasia and Adobe Premiere, 5+ years of successful program and project management in delivering technical learning solutions in a professional or business environment, and 2+ years of supervisory or people management experience in managing technical training teams

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

*All degrees will be deemed “or equivalent combination of education and experience” unless absolutely required to do the job (i.e., DVM degree for Veterinarian, Law degree for Attorney, etc.).
