UCLA Health Performance Effectiveness Advisory Consultant, Patient Access Organization in Los Angeles, California
Description
Play a key role with a world-class health system. UCLA Health runs and operates over 200 outpatient clinics located in Southern California with over 3,000,000 outpatient encounters annually. Working under the direction of the Senior Director of Patient Access, the Patient Access Organization (PAO) Performance Effectiveness and IT Solutions Advisor serves in a leadership role to advise PAO leadership on the effectiveness of the organization's design and performance in supporting ambulatory clinic partner requirements.
This leader ensures a patient centered access approach to services are delivered smoothly, efficiently, and timely. This leader serves as the primary liaison to the ISS telephony support and applications teams to ensure systems requirements are met to effectively support enhanced performance of the Patient Communication Center agents. The Performance Effectiveness and IT Solutions Advisor effectively collaborates with executive leadership, IT, HR, and Finance to identify and proactively mitigate issues which create barriers to ambulatory access and patient flow. Overall, this leader will work on strategic initiatives on behalf of the Patient Access Organization to assess, measure, monitor, and achieve organizational targets. This leader creates and maintains a goal-oriented climate of cross-team collaboration for effective problem solving, conflict resolution, in support of the PAO mission, to provide timely, convenient, and equitable access for all UCLA Health patients and the communities we serve.
This position will be based out of the greater Los Angeles area and operate under a Hybrid Fixed model.
Salary Range: $95,900 to $222,100
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
Certification in at least one Epic Application or willingness to obtain certification within 6 months of hire
Minimum ten (10) years of health care management experience
Experience with business applications management (e.g., Epic, Salesforce)
Previous experience in information technology logistics, or business process flow
Demonstrated ability to build consensus among a diverse group of stakeholders
Experience and comfort in delivering presentations to senior leadership
Broad and comprehensive knowledge of patient access workflow and policies and the ability to incorporate national best practices in complex and/or unprecedented situations across multiple functional areas
Provide experience and strong understanding of information technology specific to patient access workflows; understanding of access-related system configuration, upholding change control practices, and leveraging technology to promote standard workflow.
Proven understanding and articulation of clinic operational key performance indicators
Must Live in CA or be able to relocate
Preferred
Master's Degree in a relevant field
Lean six sigma certification
Strong understanding of IT, HR, and Finance
