    Position description

The Department of Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences invites applications for open rank Professor in Residence positions in Space Physics and/or Geochemistry. Applications from individuals with expertise that complements existing strengths in space plasmas, magnetospheric physics, geochemistry, cosmochemistry, meteoritics, and planetary science will be especially welcome. We encourage those with experience in research, teaching, and community/collegial service that has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to excellence and equity, diversity, and inclusion to apply.

EPSS faculty conduct research in geophysics, geology, geobiology, geochemistry, planetary science, paleobiology, and space physics. The department has a strong tradition of integrative research that transcends traditional discipline boundaries. The ability of applicants to contribute to this multidisciplinary ethos will be a consideration in evaluation, in addition to their commitment to enhancing the diversity of EPSS faculty and students.

Applicants must have an earned PhD in Space Physics, Geochemistry, or a closely related discipline/cross disciplinary area at date of hire
