Sinclair Broadcast Group Manager, Network Programming, Podcasts in Los Angeles, California
Sinclair is looking for a Manager of Programming to support our growing portfolio of sports podcasts being produced from our content centers across the country, working with content, sales, and marketing leaders to grow our existing shows and identify new opportunities to add to our lineup and oversee the launch process.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
Create and implement strategic, multi-platform distribution plans tailored to the unique audience and subject matter of each show leveraging internal and external assets to drive audience and monetization on audio, video and social platforms.
Regularly connect with production leads at our content centers to share best practices, ensure alignment with production guidelines and optimize audience development opportunities across platforms.
Devise and implement audience engagement strategies to grow our follower base, increase completion rates, and extend the podcasts’ reach through partnerships, collaborations, and leveraging viral moments.
Prepare and distribute regular reports on consumption performance metrics, providing insights into reach, engagement, growth, and audience behavior. Make recommendations to content leaders on any changes to make resulting from that data.
Work with Director, Network Programming on talent direction, scheduling, and feedback as well as development and delivery on advertising and marketing integrations

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years of experience in content management, preferably in the sports audio or video industry.
Deep understanding of podcast audio and video platforms, their algorithms, and audience-building strategies.
Experience producing original podcast content, including talent coaching and feedback
Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable steps.
A passion for sports and an understanding of the sports media landscape.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.

The base salary compensation range for this role is $72,000 to $90,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
