Responsibilities

• Oversee the performance, maintenance, and repair of production machinery in the manufacturing plant, reporting to the Maintenance Manager.

• Perform equipment maintenance and implement continuous improvement processes to enhance machine efficiency.

• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and services on machines, including cleaning, removing, and reinstalling machine parts as necessary.

• Lubricate and oil moving parts to ensure smooth operation and minimize wear.

• Troubleshoot, record, and report damaged, worn, or broken machine parts.

• Order and install replacement parts for machinery to minimize downtime.

• Identify and address unexpected machine breakdowns, referring to blueprints when needed.

• Efficiently repair machines, including plumbing, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Maintain and repair conveyor and material handling systems.

• Clean, organize, inventory, and stock shop areas, tools, parts, and supplies.

• Perform electrical repairs as needed and demonstrate knowledge of electrical systems.

• Assist with machinery start-up and shutdown processes to ensure smooth operations.

• Ensure that maintenance activities do not adversely impact food safety standards.

• Support production teams in meeting target goals through efficient maintenance work.

• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

• Be flexible with work schedules, including availability for weekend shifts.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 49lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time

• working up to 2 hrs of overtime per week

• working weekends
