Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Machinist Grinder to join their team. As a Machinist Grinder, you will be part of the production team supporting the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, math skills, and the ability to read blueprints which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machinist Grinder

Location: Sun Valley, CA

Pay Range: $26 per hour

What's the Job?

• Sets up and operates one or more grinding machines both manual (centerless) O.D and I.D Grinder (Parker Majestic, Crystal Lake)

• Surface Grinder such as small HARIG 618 Auto and large OKAMATO Auto

• CNC (Studer) to grind external cylindrical surfaces of metal workpieces to blueprint and work order specifications

• Knowledge of grinding wheel feeds, speeds, holding fixtures, and grinding wheels type to be used

• Dress wheels to specifications, using dressing devices

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred. Candidates that do not have a high school diploma or high school equivalency will be required to take a pre-employment assessment to be considered for the role.

• Trade school for machining practices would be preferred.

• Math skills to perform basic calculations

• Read and interpret blueprints

• Demonstrate attention to detail
