Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Los Angeles, California

Description

We are in search of a diligent and meticulous Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our client in Los Angeles, California. The chosen candidate will be tasked with managing all facets of bookkeeping, including end-of-month reconciliations, journal entries, bank and credit card reconciliations, sales tax, and more. This role is pivotal in maintaining accurate financial records and involves working closely with the CFO to ensure the proper policies and procedures are in place.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct end-of-month reconciliations and close procedures.

• Manage check runs and process journal entries.

• Carry out bank and credit card reconciliations.

• Handle sales tax filings and generate monthly financial statement reports.

• Collaborate with CFO to ensure adherence to accounting and reporting guidelines.

• Manage QuickBooks: code and match all banking and credit card transactions, facilitate monthly close including bank reconciliations and journal entries.

• Process bi-weekly payroll and assist in benefits administration.

• Manage Accounts Payable: Enter all invoices and process weekly AP payments.

• Oversee Accounts Receivable: Including collections and weekly reporting.

• Maintain accurate inventory reporting for month-end reporting, prepare month-end reports.

• Manage petty cash and prepare tax filings related to W2s/1099s and sales tax.

• Oversee the general operations of the office including ordering supplies, managing janitorial, repairs and maintenance, manage incoming mail.

• Manage Cost of Goods Sold and inventory planning.

• Reconciling AR from major retailer and AP from manufacturing vendors and contractors

Requirements • Must be adept at using QuickBooks software for various accounting functions.

• Proficiency in handling Sales Tax computations and filings is a must.

• Ability to manage Accounts Payable (AP) including invoice processing, reconciliations, and vendor communication.

• Experience in managing Payroll, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments.

• Knowledge in handling Petty Cash transactions and maintaining accurate records.

• Must have the ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements.

• Experience in Financial Statement Preparation is a necessity.

• Ability to handle Annual Financial Reporting process, including preparation, analysis, and presentation of reports.
